Mansarovar-Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Holy Mount Kailas is one of the most popular ultimate Hindu pilgrimage sites in Himalayan region dedicated to Lord Shiva where every devotee wants to go. Mount Kailas, which is believed to have been formed 30 million years ago when Himalayas were in their early stage of formation, is one of the most revered places in the Himalayas.

Lake Manasarovar lies at 4,556 m (14947.5 ft) above mean sea level. It is one of the highest fresh-water lakes in the world [2]. Lake Mapam Yumco is relatively round in shape with a circumference of 88 kilometres (55 mi). Its depth is 90 m (300 ft) and its surface area is 320 square kilometres (120 sq mi). The lake freezes in winter and melts only in the spring. It is connected to nearby Lake Rakshastal by the natural Ganga Chhu channel. Mapam Yumco is the source of the Sutlej River which is the easternmost large tributary of the Indus;
The mountain is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva sits in perpetual meditation and the tranquility and serenity of the place vows of that. To Hindus it is thus the ultimate spiritual center of the world while people of Jain faith believe it to be the place where their first prophet had attained enlightenment. For centuries pilgrims have traveled through these icy mountains and undergone extreme penance to trek through these mountains in quest of enlightenment and to be able to feel association with divinity and at Mount Kailash they all bow to the almighty in union.

There will be a separate truck for the camping equipment and staffs. During the Kailash Parikarma you will be supported by Yak and Yak herders, A Yak can be hired for you to ride, which will costs you extra. (But yaks are not domesticated and tamed to ride on it).

ACCOMMODATION
We are traveling in the most remote part of the world. Most of the time we will be away from modern civilization. So we do not expect out side help. We must be well equipped and self-contained.  RICHA TOURS have pioneered the idea of building its own accommodation facility at Paryang County , Lake Manasarovar (Chui Gompa) and its recemtly opened accommodation facilty at Dirapuk at the base of Kailas Parbat.
