Vadodara Marathon to be held in the city on February 5, 2012 would be the country’s first large scale international marathon to be organised in a non-metro city, its director Tejal Amin said here today. She said that the first two editions of the marathon have gone on to break all records, cementing the citys spot on the AIMS international Half Marathon calendar.

The Vadodara international half marathon 2012 will have categories for 21-km, 5-km run, and 15-km half marathon run, she stated.
Accredited to the Association of International Marathon and Distance Races (AIMS), Vadodara Marathon is the recipient of the AIMS gold medal for “smallest city, biggest Marathon”, said Amit Bhatnagar, another director of Vadodara Marathon. Official Site is : http://www.vadodaramarathon.com/
